Traveled to Destin, Florida to see if it could be the next place to live. What are your thoughts on living in Destin FL?
When we went to Destin in January I decided to just take a film camera. Which if you know me if unheard of. I had no idea these would be some of my favorite images. I took them all on medium format and I am going to start adding film with my full family sessions this summer too!
If you have been following my journey, you know my family has been contemplating moving south to warmer weather. I honestly had no idea we would spend months traveling to so many places discussing schools, homeschooling, healthcare, taxes, accessibility to museums, if we would miss seasons, will our kids love swimming, just ALL THE THINGS! Without a job market perpetuating a move, its been kind of hard to decide. Where would you move that would be best for your family?? I’m not ruling out living out our best life in Ohio either. Tell me your thoughts in the comments below!
Printing Photos
I didn’t always send prints in my bridal packages. I myself didn’t print a wedding photos until a year after my wedding. It sounds crazy to me now but its truth for a lot of people. So I always choose some pretty photos to print special for my couples and send them a beautiful glass box to display them in.
I will also mention that printing with a professional print lab matters. If we do a meeting in person I always bring comparison photos (usually one from costco, walgreens, and my lab). How they change the colors and saturation is super noticeable but also how the paper feels and how long it will last matters. if you’re only printing 3-5 photos for your home, you probably want them to last 100+ years! If anyone needs recommendations on where to print I’d love to help. Just comment below and I’ll send you some ideas.
Married: Alex and Taylor
I got to document Alex + Taylor saying “I do” and they were surrounded by friends and family on a hill in fall wind. It was a pretty romantic day. They overcame some random things thrown their way (like getting double booked and having to move their entire wedding date!) and it ended up being the most perfect day! Congrats to these two, celebrate!!!
